ATLANTA, GA, April 14, 2011 – Superior Essex Inc., one of the largest wire and cable manufacturers in the world, today announced that it will be expanding its facilities in Tarboro, North Carolina to manufacture power cables for the commercial, industrial and utility markets.
The Company plans to invest $58 million in new infrastructure and manufacturing equipment. The operation is expected to add 116 employees through 2015.
Superior Essex Inc. is part of LS Cable, a global leader in the manufacture of power cable products and a supplier for many US-based energy transmission projects.

Construction will commence in 2011, with commercial production planned to start in 2012. The new facility and product offering will become part of a new business unit for the Company - Superior Essex Energy Inc.
